Hello friend! Hoping you are all well and doing your best! This time around, we have several character sheets for your gaming enjoyment. For worldbuilders, we also have a couple of improvements to the latest major feature (Project Athena). I present to you the development update rollup for the mid-May!
Articles & Categories Updates
Originally, users could only browse articles by category. Now, browse articles by template type! Soon this feature, as well as others, will be getting pagination. This will partially load lists for improving performance. Who doesn’t like a slick and fast user interface?
You can also edit your “Storyteller Notes” (Seeded) in the expanded view!
Aside from these changes, Dimitris also deployed several patches for improving this new feature!
- “View” links for articles are always open on preview mode. This allows drafts to be displayed and to open on a new tab.
- Lists of Draft (Unpublished) and Work in Progress (WIP) articles display 50 of the oldest articles from each list type.
- The number of results returned on recently updated articles expands to 50. Previously, it was 15!
- Clicking on the name of a category again, after it is already opened, will no longer collapse subcategories. Instead, collapse a category by clicking on the minus (–) icon on its left side.
upvote our logo
Please go and upvote the World Anvil Logo on Font Awesome! Once it becomes part of the character set, this will easily allow you to have it on your worlds, profiles, etc!
New Character Sheets
A wave of new character sheets has been announced recently for Savage Worlds, Call of Cthulhu, and Conan! These were all contributed by a wonderful member of the community. To learn more, click on any of the images below to read more about them on a separate blog post.
Quality of Life Improvements
Character articles have an indicator showing if the character has a portrait. This is determined by the article itself or the attached hero (if any).
Better tagging widgets are available for Articles & Categories. Freely and seamlessly type the tags you want!
That’s all we have for the development update rollup for mid-May. Check back again under Development News in the middle of the month for another rollup of updates! Until then, let us know in the comments what feature you’re excited about! Also, check out our previous development update rollup from end-of-April to catch up on any news you may have missed!
