Hello friends (and hello Fall)! I did something rare in the WA realm this past month. I showed my face on a community update stream!  I got to chat with the fantastic Laurabones, a member of the Anvilite Streamer Corps, and talk about the community’s Nanowrimo preparations. There will be even more streams with plenty of support if you wish to seek it! I’m leaving my writing time to these development updates for you, so I hope they are clear and organized. Google Analytics Tracking for all Worlds

Sage+ Memberships
You now have the ability to create a Google Analytics tracking code and assign it to your world in order to get in-depth information about the way people navigate your IP! Find this under your Monetization Tab on your world‘s configuration page. 

SEO title and description

Grandmaster+ Memberships
In addition to supporting your world’s outward presence, you are now able to set the title and description of your world.

Where: Configuration > Homepage > SEO

New Theme – The Elven Forest

Guild Memberships
  • Imbued in green (call it emerald for the effect).
  • Fully foresty – with leaves and things!
  • It‘s Celtic – because we all know that forests and Celts go together.

Fun aside, it‘s a beautiful new theme created primarily for fantasy settings with a clean flare to it! Please enjoy and read more about it here!

Default Subscriber Groups

Guild Memberships
Upon creation, one or more subscriber groups are automatically assigned to all private articles to your world. This occurs when creating:

  • Any article created in a private world
  • An article using the quick create and state is set to private

Why: Especially for private worlds, many users want to easily have all their articles visible to the users of a subscriber group.

How: Set a Subscriber group as “Default” during creation or while editing set the group as “Default“.

(If these are articles you want to keep private, like your private notes after publishing, make sure you remove the groups.)

Freeman+ Memberships
User card allows you to show more details than just the username of a user in your articles, comments or posts. It includes:

  • Their username
  • Full name (if any)
  • Avatar
  • Guild rank
  • Social media links
  • Signature

You can use it by setting the username you want to display e.g. [usercard:Janet].

Alter World for Images

You can now alter the World of an image by assigning the image to another world they own.

Auto Subscription for Invited Characters

Guild Memberships
The Players/users of Characters invited to a World or a Campaign will automatically be added to all Subscriber groups set as “Default“.
