With today’s update, we’re upgrading the article management interface! We got a ton of feedback for improvements to the new Article Manager, so this is our new iteration based on that.
What does this update add?
The Article & World Manager still works the same as always, but now includes a new Article Management mode for categories. In short…
- Open the Article & World Manager.
- Click on a category.
- At the top, you’ll notice a second tab called “Article Management”.
When you click on that tab, you’ll get a list of all articles inside the category:

If you’ve been here for a few months, you might recognize this from the old article manager, its direct inspiration! This view includes a bunch of useful metadata about each article, including:
- Visibility settings (i.e. Draft/Published and Private/Public, as well as Subscriber Groups). You can click on each icon to toggle the article’s status.
- Article tags. You can also add new tags from here!
- Child articles. If the article has child articles (i.e. articles organized under it), they’ll be listed here too.
- Other details, including the article wordcount, number of likes, and last edited date.
Other features in the Article Management view
Each article has a drag handle next to its title; use it to change the order in which articles appear under the category. Additionally, if you click on the article title, it will open for editing too (remember that you can use the arrows at the top right to go back and forth between pages you have opened!)
And, as you saw in the screenshot, there’s a big “+ Article” button at the top! Click it to create a new article without leaving the page:

As you can see, it lets you set the basic article settings and content, but is not the full editor. This means you can easily go on an article creation spree if you have a lot of related articles you want to write.
What’s next?
That’s all for this update, but development is not stopping! We’re already in the final testing stages of another update, and many more are to come. This update was directly inspired by the feedback many of you gave us after the new Article Manager update, so thank you everyone!
