The World Anvil community (that’s you!) is incredibly creative, supportive, and overall amazing to be part of. So, with this new update, we’re making it easier to get to with a new community portal!
A new door to the community
In the top menu bar, you’ll see a new option: Community. Click it to access the World Anvil community space!
This community modal groups a bunch of different features together:
- Community stream: This is the main area in the “Updates” tab, and is a space for you to share anything you want with the community! Share your latest accomplishments, status updates on your creative projects, game stories, and more.
- Featured article: This is an article chosen by the World Anvil Team as an example of awesome worldbuilding—check it out for some inspiration from a fellow Anvilite! The featured article changes every week.
- Recent feature suggestions: Get involved with the development of World Anvil! These are the latest open feature suggestions, which you can vote for or against to let us know what you want to see next on World Anvil.
There’s also the Discovery tab, which you can use to… well, discover new worldbuilding! The main area of the tab is a stream of the latest articles created, chosen automatically by the system. You’ll see links to other kinds of content as well (such as novels, statblocks, and more).
Get Started Wizard
We’ve also added a new get started wizard to make joining World Anvil easier for new users. If you’re new to World Anvil, you’ll see a “Get Started” button at the bottom right of the screen. Click it to launch the Wizard!
Follow the items in the list to get started—they’ll be marked as done as you advance. And if you ever get stuck, click on the “play” button on the right to go to the related beginner tutorial guide! Once you complete the checklist, you’ll get a digital badge on your profile. Click for more information on this!
