The new year has begun and it’s time for the first community challenge of 2020!
During 2019 our community challenges were about a week-long, now that format has changed. We have lengthened the challenge to be about a month-long, giving everyone time to write. After the end of the challenge, everyone will have 1 week to share their articles and get feedback on social media before the articles are judged.
Not only will you get a participation badge, but all guild members will also be entered into a prize raffle!
The winner of the Standard league will get a prize, the winner of the Premier league will get a prize and a Guild member who has participated in the challenge will get a prize. Want to know what the prize is? It’s The Language Constructor Kit by Mark Rosenfelder.
So, what is the subject of January’s community challenge?
“If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.” – Nelson Mandela
For this challenge we want you to use our new dictionary feature.
Fire up a prose template article and write a little story about one of the languages in your world. Write about the Language, the trials, and the Legacy, what have the language brought to your world?
Our amazing Master of Games, Barron, has written down the briefs and rules on the challenge page which you can find here; Words of Worldbuilding. Please read this page thoroughly, if there is something on the page that you think is vague, please contact Barron on our discord.
