The 12th of August is International Youth Day. This day exists to bring awareness to cultural and legal issues surrounding youths. Because of this, we want you to write about a day that celebrates the youngsters living in your world. The tradition/festival we want you to write about can also bring awareness to problems in your world. We want you to use the tradition template, but you have to create the article from this prompt page.
“The foundation of every state is the education of its youth.”
Why and how are the youths of your world celebrated? When are they celebrated? A specific date or on a specific day? Where are they celebrated? In a special area or in a specific culture? Which groups of youths are celebrated? Only a specific group or all of them? If the celebration is to bring awareness to the troubles facing youngsters then what are those troubles? What can be done about the troubles and who can do that? Where does this trouble happen? Why does it happen? When does it happen, is it during a specific natural occurring event in your world or something else?
Different cultures across our real world have their own festivals to celebrate their youths, you can read more about them here. One of them is observed on June 16th when the people in South Africa celebrate the young adults who stood up against apartheid.
“The excitement of learning separates youth from old age. As long as you’re learning you’re not old.”
