Almost two months ago WorldAnvil turned 2 years old and with winter looming we returned to Dragonmeet for WorldAnvil’s second convention visit.
The first convention we participated in last year, you can read about it here. With a year under our belt of convention visits and member growth, we worked our magic.
WHAT IS DRAGONMEET?
Dragonmeet is a large tabletop gaming convention in the UK with old and new games to play, industry panels, book signings, an art show, bring & buy, cosplay events, lots of new traders, big demos, tournaments and lots more.
IN THE MORNING
Like last time a group of Anvilites went with the equipment in an Uber and arrived first to set up, while the ducklings of team train arrived later and had to stand out in the cold and wait for tickets to get in.
OUR PARTNERS IN CRIME RETURNED
Till from DungeonFog and Caeora joined us this year too. Together with them we also championed the great mapping program, Deios. If you haven’t heard about it yet then go and check it out after reading the rest of this post.
Till, Caeora and Dimitris discussing something…
IT STARTS
At 10:00am Janet and Dimitris held a talk in one of the seminar rooms on the first floor about Worldbuilding for GMs and the doors opened in the trading hall and the unenlightened horde of convention-goers were let in.
“Do you know what WorldAnvil is?”
A little bit different than the chant last year but still the same.
ANOTHER LONG DAY
This year had more visitors than last year and the room we were in was hot, but we held on and a lot of Anvilites dropped by and together with all the other visitors we had made the day worthwhile.
This year’s fliers had an image on the backside and you could collect 6 of them. The images were gifted from our great Titan, the chosen one, of Ironrise games.
IN THE END
We want to thank all the Anvilites that stopped by and the visitors we had to our stand. We’ll see you again next year. …there will also be other, heh, activities in the future that you might want to participate in.
But for now…
